IP Symposium: Unlocking the Value of Intellectual Property, Pioneering New Commercial Paradigms

As Hong Kong continues to develop as a regional intellectual property (IP) trading centre, initiatives such as the proposed IP Financing Sandbox, the forthcoming Pilot Patent Valuation Support Scheme (PVSS) and the Qualitative Patent Evaluation Service are creating new opportunities to strengthen the IP financing ecosystem and unlock the value of intangible assets. This IP Symposium aims to facilitate dialogue on emerging opportunities, practical challenges and future developments in this evolving landscape. The event will also feature a discussion by the Government’s representative and other stakeholders on the implementation details of PVSS and the Qualitative Patent Evaluation Service.

Under the theme "Unlocking the Value of Intellectual Property, Pioneering New Commercial Paradigms", the Symposium is a good opportunity to provide a platform for policymakers, financial institutions, enterprises, intellectual property professionals, valuation practitioners and other stakeholders to exchange insights on the latest developments in IP valuation and financing.
